Efficient water management is one of the key challenges facing communities around the world.
In Australia, a city south of Brisbane has made the strategic choice to adopt a proactive approach by equipping more than a thousand water meters with Adeunis PULSE IoT sensors. Faced with the growing scarcity of water resources and the imperative to reduce losses, this city has chosen to adopt innovative technologies to better understand and manage its water consumption.
The solution proposed by Adeunis, in collaboration with Elecom Electronics Supply, is based on the integration of IoT sensors into the city’s water meters. Adeunis’ PULSE sensors, adapted to the LoRaWAN AS923 network for Australia and New Zealand, regularly collect and transmit consumption data from the meters.
This real-time monitoring enables the city to analyse consumption trends, detect potential leaks and take proactive action to limit losses.
An important aspect of this solution is its ability to generate alerts when predefined thresholds are exceeded, enabling rapid intervention in the event of a leak or over-consumption. This functionality offers the city the opportunity to reduce maintenance costs, improve operational efficiency and minimise the financial losses associated with undetected water leaks.

In addition to its positive environmental impact, the integration of Adeunis IoT sensors into the management of the city’s water network offers significant economic and operational benefits. Thanks to the precise data provided by the sensors, the city can now better understand the consumption habits of its residents and adjust its water management strategies accordingly. This proactive approach can result in substantial savings in terms of water production, distribution, and maintenance while promoting more efficient use of available resources.
Thanks to the collaboration between Adeunis, Elecom Electronics Supply, and the city concerned, this pilot project paves the way for similar initiatives in the future, which will transform the way communities manage and preserve their precious water resources.
